Beca Demuéstrate 2025

Mi experiencia

La Beca Demuéstrate is an experience I am profoundly grateful for and will treasure for years to come. Demuéstrate is not only the final gala. Demuéstrate is every class, every open gym, every rehearsal, every encouraging hug from a teacher or fellow student, and every moment in between that leads up to that one magical night. Onair has created a unique opportunity that appears to be a student competition, but is actually a collaborative, encouraging, and inspiring environment in which creativity, self-expression, and community come together in a single show.

Demuéstrate has empowered me to temporarily step out of my day-to-day life as an engineer and step into my creative side. Starting from an idea that resonates with my heart, selecting a song as the canvas for my story, playfully stitching together the choreography, working through frustrating moments but also stumbling upon joyful discoveries, finding the courage to share my evolving creation in class. Best of all, being constantly surrounded by an incredible group of teachers, fellow students, and friends to inspire, encourage, and support along the way. The pieces performed the night of Demuéstrate are not only the product of individual effort but instead collective creation.

The day of the show is full of excitement, nerves, and a positive energy you can feel in the air. Many months and many hours of hard work, some tears, and lots of smiles and laughter culminate in ninety minutes of pure delight for both the audience and the participants. This year I was last to perform. Throughout the entire show, I remember feeling deeply proud, inspired, and honored to share the stage with such talented, genuine, and incredible people. The energy cultivated within the group of finalists is grounded in a desire for everyone to do their best and to truly shine. I am beyond grateful for the time, energy, and investment the team at Onair puts into the production of Demuéstrate. It is no small task. The Onair team not only gifts their creative guidance and precious time. They bring together professional choreographers, lighting, sound, photographers, videographers, and many more transforming this local aerial dance school into an intimate stage for a spectacular, captivating show.
